BREAKFAST PROGRAM

Breakfast is served every morning in each Bridgeport's elementary and middle schools. It is scheduled so that children are served immediately upon arrival, before the start of the school day. Studies has shown that children who participate in a school breakfast program are absent less, arrive on time more often and perform better on tests. The meal generally consists of traditional breakfasts items like cereal, pancakes or French toast, served with juice and milk. Any child, currently in one of the Bridgeport's school is eligible to participate in the Universal Free Breakfast and Lunch Program.
