This is a message from the Bridgeport Public Schools regarding the status of Columbus School.

Classes will begin for Columbus School on Thursday, September 1, 2011. Students will be bused to alternate locations from Columbus School with their teachers.

· Grades Pre K, Kindergarten and grade 1 will be held at the Discovery Museum.

· Grades 2 and 3 will be held at Dunbar School.

· Grade 4 will be held at Blackham School.

· Grade 5 will be held at Barnum School

· Grades 6, 7 and 8 will be held at the Discovery Magnet School.

All students should report to Columbus School at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, and they will be transported to the temporary locations. They will return each day, to Columbus, for dismissal.

Dismissal will be at 1:20 p.m. on Thursday.  Friday, Sept. 2, will be a full day. All students will be transported back to Columbus School.
