English as a Second Language (ESL)

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes are offered to adults whose native language is not English. Many of our students are new to this country and must learn the language and customs for social interaction as well as to seek employment. Others are interested in enhancing their reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.

Four levels of classes are offered: Survival, Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced. Classes teach conversation, vocabulary, reading and writing. All participants are given a placement assessment prior to entering class.
