Credit Diploma Program (CDP)
To earn this “traditional” high school diploma, students must earn 200 credits,
including those credits previously earned at your former high school, military/
vocational/ occupational experience, community service and independent study.
Our high school credit diploma program is open to individuals *18 years of age
and older who are no longer enrolled in high school.
Bridgeport Adult Education offers secondary level subjects patterned after the
regular day-time high schools. Of the 200 credits a student must earn; 40
credits in English, 30 credits in Mathematics, 30 credits in Social Studies
(including U.S. History and Civics-American Government), 20 credits in Science,
10 credits in Tech Ed or Art and 70 elective subject credits.
After meeting with one of our counselors who will review your past credits
earned, a planned program will be outlined for you in order to fulfill your
obligation in earning a high school diploma.
Credit Diploma Classes are offered at Central High School in the evening, from
6:30 p.m. - 8:35 p.m. Each class is held for 2 consecutive nights, Monday &
