You can prepare for United States Citizenship, understand American culture and history, improve your chances for finding a job, and function better in an English-speaking country by enrolling in our English as a Second Language (ESL) classes.

. . . To Improve Your Basic Skills?
With the Adult Basic Education (ABE) program, we can determine your Reading and Language levels and plan an appropriate program to improve your skills. We can also test your Math and Reading skills and design a course of studies for improvement in these areas.

General Educational Development (GED), English as a Second Language (ESL), and Adult Basic Education (ABE) classes are held in multiple locations and at various times of the day and evening.

Bridgeport Adult Education offers 3 different High School Diploma options:

  1. Adult High School Credit Diploma Program
  2. General Education Development Program (GED)
  3. National External Diploma Program (NEDP), offered by Literacy Volunteers of Southeastern Fairfield County, and the Mercy Learning Center, a Bridgeport Adult Education Cooperating Eligible Entity (CEE)
