PEABODY MUSEUM

The Museum’s wonderful Birds of Connecticut Hall provides a focus for learning about wild animals that are part of our everyday lives. Every child sees birds, yet most know very little about these fascinating creatures. Viewing such common birds as the ring-billed gull, red-tailed hawk, and crow can help students be more aware of wild animals that are part of their world. The instructor discussed concepts basic to the science of biology, including animal adaptations, migration and endangered species, appropriate to the ability of the students and their interests.
