Madison School’s First Annual Book Bowl

Madison School held its first Book Bowl for grades 3, 4,and 5.  This concept was to help the students relax and do something educational, but fun after CMT's.  Six students were chosen from each of the grade 3, 4, and 5 classrooms. The students were given a book to read in four week.  The rest of the class was encouraged to participate in a spirit competition so they did not feel left out.  A pep rally was held prior to the actual competition.  One classroom won the "spirit award" (medals). 

The six students from each grade competed in a competition with questions about the books that were assigned.  There was a panel of judges and they scored the students from 0-3 on how well they answered the questions.  The team with the most points won trophies.

All of the students were very involved and Madison School staff is looking forward to the next competition.
